Rick has been a pilot and a veteran of the aviation industry for nearly 25 years, including ten years at Cirrus Design, where he built the VK30 and ST50 experimental pusher aircraft. Rick also helped build the first prototypes for the SR20, and he worked on certification for the aircraft’s parachute deployment. An inspector-authorized mechanic since 1986, Rick most recently operated his own business rebuilding Cirrus aircraft and installing air conditioning systems.

FAA Certified with Inspection Authorization
Garr has 18 years experience in aircraft maintenance, including three years specializing in turbines. His expertise includes Cessna aircraft (from the 100 series up to the 400), Piper (from PA18 to PA46), Cirrus SR20 and SR22 and most general aviation aircraft. Garr performs on-call maintenance for Mesaba Airlines, Pinnacle Airlines and Allegiant Air. Garr received his education in aircraft maintenance at Winona Technical College and holds an FCC license.
