Gary Lemasters,
Chief Flight Instructor
Gary is a veteran pilot and instructor who has been flying since 1984 and has logged more than 2,000 hours of dual instruction. He is certified by the FAA as a commercial pilot with instrument rating, flight instructor with instrument airplane, and advanced ground instructor.
A command pilot, Gary trains people for their private, commercial, instrument, flight and ground instructor certificates. His pass rate is 95 percent.
Gary earned the prestigious Gold Seal Award from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in 2006. Received by less than one percent of flight instructors, the Gold Seal Award is given to people who have met exacting certification standards and documented exceptional achievement in flight instruction.
A member of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) since 1987, Gary is one of only six standard CAP evaluation pilots in Minnesota and a member of the CAP search and rescue team. He is a member of the Air Force Association, National Association of Flight Instructors, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and Experimental Aircraft Association.

Private Instruction

Forty hours of training typically ranges from $3,500 to $4,000.
Commercial Instruction
Commercial students can complete their training in an additional 10 to 15 hours. The cost is typically $1,200 to $1,500, depending on how many hours they've already flown.
Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
CFI requires three days of ground training and approximately 10 to 15 hours of flight training. Costs typically range from $2,000 to $2,500.
Certified Flight Instrument Instructor
This certification usually involves one full day of ground training and three
